Google Talk policy SUXX
Google Talk server does not accept messages from people that are not on user roster. Probably to protect from SPIM. Nice feature, you may say? No, it is not.
Today I recieved a subscription request from someone that wanted to talk with me. I do not give my presence information to strangers. They do not need it to just talk with me. So I denied that request.
From this point on, the “talk” was very single-sided. I was recieving messages sent to me, but I couldn’t reply - every message I typed returned with ’service-unavailable’ error.
The messages was getting hotter and hotter, which finaly resulted with an angry Google Talk user, calling me rude and worse, for not even replying to his messages. I tried, believe me. But I simply couldn’t.
We really need to watch for our SPAM countermeasures, don’t we?
